The charming medieval town of Trogir is our next destination today. This UNESCO listed gem with its pristine marina is often compared to a mini-Venice. On arrival, we will have a fabulous trip to the stunning Krka Waterfalls National Park. Enjoy the afternoon admiring the beautiful waterfalls and lakes and stroll along pathways winding through the lush flora. Enjoy a picturesque photo stop in front of the stunning Skradinski Buk waterfall. Return to Trogir where you can explore the labyrinth of backstreets and medieval alleyways and discover the hidden gems.
We set off during breakfast from Trogir and make our way to one of Croatia’s truly hidden gems, the tranquil island of Vis. The island was occupied by the Yugoslavian Army for many years which meant it was off limits to travelers and hence it has retained a lot of its old world charm and off the grid feel. On route to Vis, the captain will stop for an extended swim stop, giving guests the opportunity to swim off the back of the boat in a crystal clear bay and use the water sports provided on the yacht. We will arrive in Vis in the mid-afternoon. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure exploring the picturesque town of Vis with its charming sea front cafes and labyrinth of quaint streets. If you are feeling energetic take a walk up to Fort George which enjoys breath taking views over Vis and is a gorgeous spot to enjoy a drink and watch the sunset.
We have an early start this morning as we set off from Vis and head to the Island of Bisevo, home to the magical Blue Cave. Enjoy an optional guided tour inside this beautiful natural phenomenon and marvel at the beautiful colours which will leave you mesmerized. Please note that entry to the Blue Cave is subject to weather and sea conditions and therefore the entry fee of EUR20pp is payable on the day. After our visit to the Blue Cave, we continue sailing through the beautiful Pakleni island archipelago which is known for its stunning secluded bays with crystal clear water. We will enjoy a swim stop in the Pakleni Islands before arriving in Hvar, with an exciting Hvar Island tour planned. The first stop is an opportunity for you to sample some locally produced wines at a very sought after family winery. We then continue on to the cosmopolitan town of Hvar, where you will have free time to explore this picturesque town at your leisure.
We depart early from Hvar Island today and we make our way to the Island of Korcula. On route, we will do a scenic sail past one of Europe’s most famous beaches, the Golden Horn Beach, known in Croatia as Zlatni Rat. We then continue sailing to Korcula with a swim stop planned prior to our arrival in Korcula in the afternoon. Once we dock in Korcula, you’ll meet our guide who will take you through the narrow, cobbled streets to view the impressive Venetian-gothic architecture and learn more about the alleged birthplace of explorer Marco Polo along with reason for the fishbone layout of the streets. Tonight enjoy an optional traditional Dalmatian dinner at a family run restaurant which is always a favorite with our guests.
We’ll visit lush Mljet Island where you’ll explore its national park with our local guide. Take a walk to see its famous saltwater lakes, including Great Lake, home to an islet that houses a 12th-century Benedictine Monastery. Next, we head to the walled fishing village of Slano which lies near the small fortified village of Ston, famous for its oysters. Visit a Ston oyster farm to sample the delicacy before enjoying the Captain’s Farewell Dinner with live music back onboard.
Departing early this morning for Dubrovnik, your final full day begins with a magical view of the exterior of its medieval walls, with impressive bastions, casemates, forts and towers before heading inside. Take a walking tour with our expert local guide to marvel at the impressive historic buildings, including some that were featured in HBO’s “Game of Thrones.” Spend your final evening enjoying dinner on your own in the Old Town and soaking up the wonderful atmosphere.
Get your bags packed and ready and then fuel up for your travels with one last breakfast with time for farewells with your fellow passengers and crew. You’ll be met by a driver who will transfer to Dubrovnik Airport or your onward hotel in the city. If you’d like to stick around longer and haven’t made plans yet, our travel experts will be happy to help. Otherwise, we hope to see you on another cruise again soon!
