This intimate small ship cruise gives you the opportunity to discover the full length of the beautiful Croatian coastline from Opatija to Dubrovnik. You will get to visit iconic cities such as Zadar, Split and Dubrovnik with gorgeous islands including Hvar and Korcula. If you enjoy nature you will love the opportunity to visit the stunning Krka National Park with its endless waterfalls. If you are a foodie, then wine tasting in Hvar and Rab cake tasting on Rab Island awaits. If you love being on the water, then daily swim stops in crystal clear bays await.
The MS My Wish is a brand-new deluxe category small cruising ship with the latest state-of-the-art equipment and amenities, launched in 2020. She’s designed to provide a more intimate sailing experience with highly personalized service while allowing for access to small harbors, ports, and inlets. Especially notable are her 10 upper deck cabins which include private balconies.
With boarding from midday, we will enjoy a 3 course lunch on board as our boat departs from Opatija and heads to the Island of Rab. We’ll arrive into Rab in the late afternoon where our local guide will be awaiting our arrival and to take us on a tour of this off the beaten track gem, where you’ll often see artists creating and displaying their works in the squares and charming streets. Our guided tour will also include the opportunity to sample of what Rab is famous for in Croatia, its beloved Rab cake. The recipe is said to have been invented by local nuns for a visiting pope. This evening you’ll have more time to explore on your own and enjoy dinner in one of the enticing eateries.
Today our next destination is Zadar which has an intriguing history with its very unique architecture. In more recent years, it’s become famous for its pair of art installations along the waterfront. The world famous Sea Organ plays music using the power of the waves. The waterfront also features a Greeting to the Sun which is illuminated by the sun, honoring what’s been called the most beautiful sunset in the world. When we arrive in Zadar, you will enjoy a guided tour with a local guide and your Cruise Director. The tour will include a tasting of Zadar’s signature Maraschino cherry liqueur. Back on board the ship, get ready for this evening’s Captain’s Dinner with live entertainment.
Departing from Zadar whilst guests are enjoying breakfast, we continue our cruise down the Northern Dalmatian coast to the city of Sibenik. You will have a chance to enjoy a swim in the crystal clear Adriatic before we arrive in Sibenik. Reaching the port this afternoon, join our local guide and your Cruise Director for a guided tour of Krka National Park, known for its rushing river, countless stunning waterfalls, and lush flora. You will get to walk through winding trails and enjoy scenic views, concluding with a short boat ride to a hidden gem, Skradin. After the tour return to Sibenik where you have dinner on your own with a great selection of restaurants on offer.
We set off early from the UNESCO listed city of Sibenik to visit another UNESCO listed gem today, the impressive city of Split. With a short swim stop on route before lunch planned, we will arrive in Split in the afternoon. Here you will be met by our local guide who will take you to discover the UNESCO listed Diocletian Palace which was built for Emperor Diocletian. You will get to discover the history behind this wonderfully preserved Roman built palace and its underground substructures. You will also get to see where several scenes of the hit series Game of Thrones was filmed and how locals still happily live within the Old Town and Palace.
We continue on to Hvar Island today, famous for its world-class restaurants and buzzing nightlife that attracts many of the world’s top celebrities and VIPs. On route we will enjoy a swim swim stop in a beautiful secluded bay. We’ll arrive at Hvar’s main port in the mid-afternoon. Join your Cruise Director for a guided tour of the island that includes wine tasting at a popular family-run vineyard. Whilst on route to the winery, enjoy spectacular views along the way, including everything from lush, rolling hills covered with vines and lavender to the turquoise sea. After the tour, return to Hvar Town with the opportunity to sample some of the many superb bars and eateries in Hvar Town.
We have an early start this morning as we set off from Hvar headed to the Island of Korcula. On route we will enjoy a swim stop before arriving in Korcula in the late afternoon. On arrival, join our expert local guide for a tour of this storybook walled Old Town, a favorite for many on this unforgettable itinerary. Our guide will take you through the narrow, cobbled streets to view the impressive Venetian-gothic architecture and learn more about the alleged birthplace of explorer Marco Polo. Tonight enjoy an optional traditional Dalmatian dinner at a family run restaurant which is always a favorite with our guests.
The final destination of our cruise brings us to the enchanting walled city of Dubrovnik. We’ll sail around those ancient walls for a dazzling view from the water before pulling into port. Meet up with our local guide who will reveal the ancient pedestrian-only Old Town, filled with magnificent treasures, including impressive architecture with Gothic and Renaissance influences. You’ll have time to explore leisurely on your own, perhaps taking a walk atop the defensive walls which brings spectacular panoramas of the historic center’s endless red-tiled roofs, the Adriatic, and the Elaphiti Islands. Celebrate your trip with a fine meal and a glorious sunset view afterward in one of the rooftop restaurants.
With departure day here, disembarkation is at 9 a.m. Take time for goodbyes this morning, perhaps joining some of your fellow shipmates at breakfast before a private transfer brings you to Dubrovnik Airport or your local hotel.
