This luxurious cruise is an intimate adventure that provides are more authentic, personal experience as you sail from Dubrovnik to Opatija along the spectacular Dalmatian coast. Look forward to delicious half-board meals (daily breakfasts and lunches as well as two dinners) all prepared fresh by the popular onboard chef, with many evenings enjoyed at your leisure for sampling the local fare. Throughout your trip, there will be intriguing tours led by local guides that allow you to get to know each destination more in-depth, including Korcula, Hvar, Split, Krka National Park, Zadar, Rab, and Opatija. Enjoy tranquil overnights in your spacious, en-suite cabin, some with balconies.
The MS My Wish is a deluxe category small cruising ship with the latest state-of-the-art equipment and amenities, launched in 2020. Your journey begins by taking a private transfer from Dubrovnik International Airport or your local hotel to the harbor where your ship awaits with departure at 1 pm. Get settled in as we cruise to Korcula with a Welcome Lunch served onboard. Old Town Korcula is a highlight, looking like it came straight from the pages of a storybook, surrounded by medieval defensive walls, towers, and gates. Meet our local guide at the entrance for a walking tour through the narrow streets and alleyways with the buildings revealing significant Venetian influence. Afterward, enjoy dinner in a traditional konoba or fine dining restaurant on your own.
Our cruise continues to Hvar Island, famous for its world-class restaurants and buzzing nightlife that attracts many celebrities and VIPs of all types. Along the way, enjoy a swim stop in a secluded bay with crystal-clear blue waters. We’ll arrive at Hvar’s port in the mid-afternoon, disembarking to join your Cruise Director for a guided tour of the island that includes wine tasting at a popular family-run vineyard. Enjoy spectacular views along the way, including everything from lush, rolling hills covered with vines and lavender to the turquoise sea. This evening we suggest sampling some of the many excellent bars and eateries in Hvar Town.
We’ll make our way back to the coast today for a visit to ancient Split, best known for the Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace which gave birth to the city in the late 3rd century. The massive complex, filled with some of the world’s most well-preserved Roman architecture, covers nearly half the historic center. Upon our arrival, you’ll join our local guide for a walking tour through its cobbled streets as well as the adjacent Green Market. The rest of the day is yours, the perfect time for a stroll along the seaside Riva promenade which offers picturesque views and some of Split’s best people-watching.
Departing early this morning, we’ll journey north along the Dalmatian coast toward Sibenik, enjoying a quick swim stop and lunch along the way. Reaching the port this afternoon, join our local guide and your Cruise Director for a guided tour of Krka National Park, known for its rushing river, countless waterfalls, and lush flora. Walk the winding trails to enjoy the scenic views, concluding with a short boat ride to a hidden gem, Skradin. Arriving back at Sibenik early this evening you’ll have leisure time to explore the town’s impressive attractions, including the UNESCO-listed St. James Cathedral you might have seen on “Game of Thrones.”
Our next destination is Zadar which has a long and intriguing history with many centuries-old landmarks, but in more recent years, it’s become famous for its pair of art installations along the waterfront. The Sea Organ plays music using the power of the waves while The Greeting to the Sun is illuminated by the sun, honoring what’s been called the most beautiful sunset in the world. Upon arrival to the city, you’ll join a local guide and your Cruise Director for a tour that includes a tasting of Zadar’s signature Maraschino cherry liqueur. Back on board the ship, get ready for this evening’s Captain’s Dinner with live entertainment.
Cruising on to Rab Island, a swim stop and lunch will be enjoyed en route. We’ll anchor just outside Old Town Rab, bounded by city walls and distinguished by four church towers. Meet our local guide for an enchanting tour of the atmospheric historic center where you’ll often see artists creating and displaying their works in the squares and charming streets. Your tour includes a sample of unique Rab cake, with its recipe said to have been invented by local nuns for a visiting pope. This evening you’ll have more time to explore on your own and enjoy dinner in one of the enticing eateries.
We’ll soon reach the final destination of our trip, elegant Opatija along the famous Opatija Riviera. It’s drawn royals, celebrities, and all sorts of VIPs for decades. Concluding here is ideal as the Austro-Hungarian architecture and monuments provide a complete contrast to what you’ve seen along the Dalmatian coast. One last swim stop and lunch will be enjoyed first and then you’ll meet up with a local guide for a tour that explores the town’s rich history, including a stroll through picturesque Angiolina Park and the Chocolate Museum, with samples included. We recommend dining in one of the many outstanding sea-view restaurants this evening.
The most difficult part of our trip will soon be here – time for farewells. You’ll want to get your bags packed and ready as after breakfast on board, you’ll be met by your driver for a private transfer to the airport to catch your flight home, or your local hotel if you’d like to stick around longer.
