Visit the Old Town and Castle of Trogir

Explore the delights of Trogir, which is connected to the mainland and the island of Ciovo by a bridge. With it’s rich history, that dates back to the Illyrians, Greeks and Romans, Trogir truly is a World Heritage also boasting a collection of Romanesque and Renaissance well preserved buildings. Visit the Cathedral of St. Lawrence or a Fortress Kamerlengo or hop down to The Green Market to grab some fresh fruit and vegetables. If you want to escape the business of a bigger city, Trogir is a perfect place to do so.

Day trip to Split

Split is the second largest city in Croatia and the capital of the Dalmatia region. This city boasts one of the best preserved Roman palaces in the world, inscribed on UNESCO heritage list since 1979. Diocletian’s Palace makes the core of the Old Town and a symbol of modern-day Split, incorporating an eclectic combination of Roman temples, Gothic palaces and modern Mediterranean-style stone houses.

Built in 3rd century BC Klis fortress has a long history filled with Croatian kings and protection of the land all the way to today where it serves as a reminder of the long history. Climb to the fortress to take some wonderful pictures of the ruins and a breathtaking view of Split. If you are a Game of Thrones fan you’ll be able to visit places where the series was filmed. Make sure you take picture with the dragon statue in the fortress.

Visit the secluded Pakleni Islands

If you are looking for an adventure, visit the crystal-clear waters, hidden beaches and deserted lagoons of the Pakleni Islands (Pakleni otoci), a gorgeous chain of wooded isles that stretches out immediately in front of the town. The name is often translated as ‘Hell’s Islands’, which is believed to come from paklina, a pine resin that was once harvested on the islands to water proof the boats.
