Diocletian’s Palace is a popular UNESCO World Heritage Site in Croatia and was constructed by Roman Emperor Diocletian as a retirement spot. The outer walls of the palace were originally 20 meters high. You can explore the Peristyle, a kind of open-air pavilion, which was originally the central square of the palace. Diocletian’s Palace is one of the remaining best-preserved examples of Roman Empire architecture in the world.
